Paul Terrassin, from our R&D team, took part in DeepLearn 2023 in Gran Canaria to present his doctoral work on the detection of breast microcalcifications during a public session.
His comprehensive research aims to achieve a dual objective:
- Detect microcalcifications in mammography and characterize them by distinguishing between benign and malignant cases.
- Reduce the rate of false positives through accurate characterization of benign lesions.
Ultimately, our goal is to integrate these models into our AI solution, Breast-SlimView®, to provide radiologists with an increasingly advanced solution, once again setting it apart from other alternatives available in the market.
